COVID-19 TERMS & CONDITIONS

 
 

The Watersports Hub acknowledges the need for Covid-19 compliant risk assessment to sit alongside our regular activity risk assessments for watersports. This document sets out our intention to ensure that our business operating procedures are reviewed and revised to minimise the risk to staff and customers to contracting and spreading Covid-19 / Coronavirus during our water activity operating hours.

CUSTOMER COMMUNICATIONS

  • Clear communications and messaging to advise customers to stay home and to not visit our site if they or any one in their household has developed symptoms of Covid-19 (as per the government and NHS websites).

  • Clear communications and messaging to advise customers that social distancing government guidelines should be complied with at all times.

  • Clear communications and messaging to customers that changing facilities or toilets are not available at this present time.

  • Clear communications and messaging to customers to arrive independently or with individuals from the same household.

  • Clear communications and messaging to use hand sanitiser on arrival and inbetween handling equipment.

  • Clear communications and messaging to customers that touching the infrastructure or equipment that has not been allocated for their booking is prohibited.

  • Clear communications and messaging  to customers to depart the Watersports Hub area immediately after the session has ended and equipment has been dropped off to avoid contact with other customers or overcrowding.

  • Clear communications and messaging to customers to advise that personal items are not to be left on site.

  • Clear communications and messaging to customers to advise of the designated equipment drop off to allow for disinfecting process.

CUSTOMER BOOKINGS & LESSONS

  • Customer bookings and Enquiries to be all online to avoid contact with reception devices or cash handling.

  • Bookings to be staggered by 15 minutes in between sessions to allow for disinfecting and social distancing measures.

  • Booking system adapted to offer individual bookings only or groups of the same household/ bubble.

  • Lessons & equipment hire to be booked in advance to allow for preparation and disinfecting before use. All equipment cleaned and sanitised after each use.

  • Customer details to be recorded for cse contact tracing if required at a later date.

  • No students will be allowed to take lessons if they have been exposed to any active cases of the COVID-19 virus within the last 21 day period.

  • Any students who have a confirmed case of COVID-19 following a lesson or hire session at The Watersports Hub, MUST contact us immediately to ensure we can trace any contamination and act on that accordingly.

  • Any students that have come from a foreign country in the last 14 days are asked not to book onto lessons until they have completed a 14 day self-quarantine process.

  • Instructors showing symptoms or who come into contact with active cases will be required to complete a self-quarantine process for 14 days plus an additional 7 day waiting period before teaching lessons.

  • All instructors will conduct a strict cleanliness regime throughout the day and upon leaving the school to ensure the safety of our customers and to adhere to current guidelines.

  • Both on the water and on the beach, we expect everyone to adhere to the social distancing guidelines. If a student fails to follow these strict rules, all instructors at The Watersports Hub reserve the right to terminate the lesson immediately.

EMERGENCY RESPONSE/ WATER RECOVERY & FIRST AID

  • Should first aid or water recovery be required this to take place as priority over social distancing guidelines. Individual/s who manage the response must disinfect and sanitise themselves following first aid/ rescue response action taken.

  • All first aid or water recoveries must be recorded in the accidents log, outlining any physical contact occurred between two or more parties.

  • Identity and contact information of both staff members and injured parties will be logged to ensure contact tracing measures can be implemented at a later stage, should this become necessary.
